Trinidad Pilots to Implement KleinPilot Software
September 3, 2006
September, 2006. The Trinidad Pilots and Berthing Masters Association (TPBMA) have contracted with Klein Systems Group to provide a pilot dispatch and billing system for their organization’s operations and revenue management requirements. Based in Port of Spain, the TPBMA provides safe and efficient movement of all vessels within Trinidad and Tobago’s Ports.
Formed more than 65 years ago, the TPBMA has a distinguished safety and performance record the equal of any Pilots’ organization in the world. Klein initially conducted an on site system requirements gathering exercise to determine and document the detailed functionality needed by TPBMA and to enable a fixed price quotation for the turn-key system. The new KleinPilot software is full featured and will be configured to provide tailored functionality for; managing pilot rotation schedules, organizing vessel traffic in relation to piloting jobs, recording of all pertinent times and events, automated billing in relation to appropriate tariffs, and providing extensive management reporting. Klein will also integrate the systems invoicing information with the TPBMA financial accounting system at the Accounts Receivable (Debtor System) level. The new system is scheduled for deployment in early 2007.
