Cargo System is a unique terminal management system, which can be used at single- and multi-purpose terminals.

The application is used to register administrative information related to cargo and vessels, trucks and trains coming to the terminal, as well as for the follow up of the actual operations, both on the waterside and on the land side.

The cargo that is expected at the terminal, containers and non-containerized cargo, is registered in the form of orders. Depending on the nature of the cargo, different details may need to be recorded. A distinction is made in Cargo System between discharge & load orders, delivery & receipt orders and special handling orders. Planned vessel and train arrivals are also recorded in Cargo System and truckers can make use of the pre-announcement functionality to pre-register their visit to the terminal.

The follow up of the operations, discharging & loading, gate operations, stuffing & stripping, can be done in real time using Radio Data Terminals.

The position of the cargo in the yard is likewise registered in real time and displayed through the optional Yard View application, which also provides automated planning functionality.

Optional Modules

Yard View

Yard View is a 3D yard visualization and planning system, which is used in combination with Cargo System.

The layout of the terminal is designed using the integrated drawing tools and is then automatically displayed in 3D. On the 3D view a realistic view of the terminal is displayed, including buildings, warehouses, quayside cranes, storage areas for containers and other cargo, and of course the cargo itself.

From the different views it is possible to manually move cargo to another location, which results in the necessary instructions in Cargo System.

Another feature of Yard View is the automated planning functionality. User definable business rules can be set up based on which Yard View will select a position for all incoming cargo.

Berth View

Berth View is an optional modules for berth occupancy visualization and planning. Based on the list of vessel calls the berth occupancy is displayed on a graphical overview in function of the position and length of the vessel and the time it spends at the berth.
