Vancouver, B.C., January 12, 2011 – Klein Systems Group Ltd. (Klein), a wholly owned subsidiary of HITT nv, and leading provider of full-service maritime management software solutions, announced today that the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) has commenced live production with Klein’s comprehensive billing system, KleinBilling.

The completion of this project represents the first project of 2011 to go live for Klein. It is noteworthy not only due to the size and scope of the project but for the significant achievements realized by Klein in delivering this project. “We are pleased to be part of POLA’s plan to be the best run port in the U.S. The volumes and vastness of their operations is an excellent showcase for the strength, flexibility and efficiency of our system. We are proud of the benefits that POLA is experiencing and of our execution, completing the project on budget and ahead of schedule” said Gina Arsens, President & CEO of Klein.

Klein was awarded the contract in June of 2010 to upgrade their legacy billing systems to a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution within a challenging six month timeline. Klein completed all the required implementation steps including configuration and interfaces two months ahead of schedule and within four months of starting the project. “This is a tremendous achievement by the team and indicative of our commitment to our customer’s success” noted Pavel Skournik, Director of Development and Product Manager of Klein.

By moving to KleinBilling, POLA has benefited with efficient billing, a single central database for billing and operational data as well as greater flexibility to respond to changing business needs. Additional benefits are achieved by integrating systems, integrating and streamlining functions, supporting multiple departments, and providing holistic enterprise reporting.
