Vancouver, British Columbia, October 8, 2010 – Klein Systems Group Ltd. (Klein), a wholly owned subsidiary of HITT NV in The Netherlands, announced today that Barbados Port Inc. has contracted with Klein to provide a comprehensive port management information system named KleinPort CS.

“We are very pleased to be the supplier of choice for BPI. BPI is taking a leading position in the way they look at their information systems as a key competitive advantage and a way to deliver positive customer service. Their forward thinking and our value system to make a positive difference in the business of port operations fits perfectly and we are proud of this new partnership.” said Gina Arsens, President & CEO of Klein.

“We selected Klein and KleinPort CS because it will provide BPI with the mechanism to move to a fully automated, world-class system from our old in-house written software. BPI will be able to take advantage of some of the best business practices that have already been implemented at other ports. After our needs analysis was completed and the return on investment calculated, the choice was a natural one.” said Everton Waters, CEO BPI.

BPI will use KleinPort CS for Marine and Cargo Operations optimization and billing. Invoicing will be managed in KleinPort CS interfacing to the back end financial accounting system to process Accounts Receivable and General Ledger transactions. Automatic processing will take place with Electronic Manifest importing, customs integration, and AIS integration. Taking further advantage of operational improvements, BPI also selected the mobile hand held application module which will be deployed on Psion-Teklogix handhelds for further optimization. The mobile functionality of KleinPort CS enables port operations personnel to scan bar-codes, do real-time cargo tally’s, and process cargo movement and release information anywhere in the port area.
